CEO seeks explanation from APS for running without 'permission' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 28: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri reportedly has sought explanation from a primary school popularly known as Army Public School (APS) situated on Panjpeer area of Rajouri city being managed by Army but allegedly without requisite permission after March 2016. Documents available with early times reveal that the permission granted by education department to run the said army school has expired in March 2016 and since then army authorities did not bother to renew the permission. Sources within education department also added that not only the non-extension of persimmon, the school in question also has failed to had No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from Pollution Control Board, Fire and Emergency Department, Traffic Police, and Municipal Committee which are considered to be the basic requirements to run any school. Sources said, "The said army school has over 300 children on its enrollment but lacking the requisite documents the army authorities seemed least bothered for the future of tiny tots." Education department taking a strict notice in this regard has initiated an enquiry in this matter and the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has issued a show cause notice to administration and principal of Valley View Army Public School to explain their position about irregularities within two days failing which process to de-recognition of said school will get automatically started. Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri Altaf Hussain while confirming it to Early Times said that we have issued a notice and we are awaiting the response from the management of said school. |
