Dogra praises Rashid, lambasts BJP MLAs

Jammu, June 20: Praising Er Abdul Rashid, MLA Langate, the Vice Chairman, J&K Scheduled Caste Advisory Board, Bhushan Dogra today said that the BJP especially, MLAs representing community have backstabbed the SCs.
Dogra who was speaking in function 618 Prakash Divas of Kabir Dass, held here today at Abhinav Thearte said that community need representative like Er Rashid who raises plights of the community, not those who are escaping from their duties.
"I have nothing to do what he (Er Rashid) says, but he utilizes time in House while raising issues of public", the Vice Chairman said, and added seven MLAs who represent Scheduled Caste, in the Lower House, seems escaping from their responsibilities, they did nothing to defend reservation in promotion.
"The reservation was given deprived communities ", he said, wondering, that some of the MLAs who even did not attended even a single meeting to save constitutional rights of the community.
He said that BJP is not ruling in the centre, but is partner in state government too, it seems reluctant to do justice with the community. Without naming any individual, Bhushan said that some of BJP's MLAs who represent the community claims that they were voted by non SC communities, so they have nothing to do with SCs. Bhushan said that with due representation in every sphere in the system equality could not be established. "It (equality) may be mere slogan, until due representation to deprived community is given", he added.
It is pertinent to mention that since the court has banned reservation in promotion, government employees' of reserve categories are fight legal battle to get back, reservation in promotion.
Meanwhile, several meeting and rallies have been organized under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA).
The MLAs, reserve categories, especially SCs, had never supported the cause.
