Hindu body deflates millennium celebrations of Abhinav Gupt | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 20: Though various Hindu organizations all over country are busy in millennium year celebrations of great Shivacharya of Kashmir Acharya Abhinav Gupt whose yatra was recently taken to Kashmir by the Celebration Committee amid some controversies, a Hindu organization of the State working for the management of shrines and religious places in the State have deflated this all by contemplating to sell the premises belonging to Gupt Ganga in Nishat area of Kashmir Valley which was the seat of this world renowned scholar. Though much hue and cry was raised against the people of Beeru in Budgam district of Kashmir Valley for not allowing the Abhinav Gupt yatra to be taken to the cave where the Shivacharya has reportedly performed his last journey, the Hindu organization by contemplating the sale of the premises of Gupt Ganga a seat of Kashmiri Shivism where from this philosophy had originated actually has brought bad name to entire Hindu Samaj. The Acharya Abhinav Gupt Millennium Year Celebration Committee which is trying to revive the ancient philosophy and thought has maintained total silence over the role of the Hindu body which is already under clout for selling the land of many shrines in Valley on throw away prices over the years. The best tributes to this great Shivacharya from Kashmir would be if Celebration Committee can save this land from being sold as Gupt Ganga is linked to the origin of Kashmiri Shaivism where it is said that Acharya Abhiav Gupt was giving lecturers of Shiva philosophy to his disciples during his life time. This has been mentioned by none other than the chief disciple and a great Shivacharya of Kashmir Ksheminder in his commentaries of Acharya Abhinav Gupt. The Kashmiri Pandits and other bodies making a hue and cry on Beeru cave of Acharya Abhinav Gupt should first ponder over the Gupt Ganga and Brian area where the Acharya lived and practiced his spiritual life. The Hindu bodies all over country who have taken an onus to highlight the philosophy of Acharya Abhinav Gupt must first pay attention to those places in Kashmir which are the origin of Shiv philosophy and where from Acharya Abhinav Gupt and other Shavacharyas propagated their philosophy. The land to the shrines in Kashmir does not belong to any Trust or body but all such trusts and bodies created thus are just caretakers to maintain and look after the properties and they have no right to sale the property and land to any body. Selling this land to the members of majority community will tantamount to erasing the all symbols of Hindu culture in Kashmir for which these trusts and religious bodies will be held responsible by future generations. |
