LPG dealer imposed Rs 10000 fine for overcharging 6/20/2016 11:48:56 PM Early times Report UDHAMPUR, June 20: On the instructions of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Niraj Kumar, a team of legal metrology department Udhampur under the supervision of Assistant controller legal metrology Jaideep Singh Sambyal imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000.00 LPG dealer for overcharging on the sale of domestic cylinders at Udhampur. The team has booked the dealer for said offence following complaints from consumers regarding overcharging and poor home delivery in the town. The department has served legal notice to the management of the concerned oil company. The management today confessed it's guilt and pleaded for composition of the case while the assistant controller on written assurance that the same shall not be repeated in future compounded the case. Further the assistant controller directed the dealer to immediately display mobile numbers of delivery man area wise in print media and prominently outside the showroom for the information of consumers so that they can do booking through SMS.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
