JAC General Category holds series of awareness meetings | "No Reservation in Promotions" | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 20:Joint Action Committee (JAC General Category) and 'Aarakshan Virodhi Manch' units of Hiranagar and Reasi under the leadership of Ved Prakash Sharma Convenor and President Brahman Sabha conducted marathon meetings at Ram Leela Club Kootah and Pouni areas of Hiranagar and Reasi respectively for the awareness of general category people today on the issue of "No Reservation in Promotions." The delegation of JAC received warm response from general category people of Hiranagar and Reasi and assured for joining hands with JAC for greater struggle in future. Ved Prakash Sharma informed the public gathering of the mischievous design of certain MLAs particularly Rigzin Zora, Asgar Ali Karbalai, Deldan Namgayal, Javed Ahmed Rana, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Neelam Langeh, Dina Nath, Kuldeep Raj, Dr Devinder Manyal, Dr Krishan Lal , Qamar Hussain and Choudhary Mohd. Akrarn, who have formed an unholy consortium in Legislative Assembly irrespective of party affiliation to pursue their nefarious objective of seeking passage of Bill overruling the judgement of High Court striking down the Reservation in Promotion Rules 9, 10 & 34 and See 6 of Reservation Act 2005. The action of these MLAs speaks volumes of the brewing hatred among them against General category masses and they have breached the oath of constitution taken by them while assuming the charge. They have built an unholy consortium on the basis of caste to seek murder of merit and seniority. JAC cautions the political class to refrain from dividing the society on the basis of caste and since J&K is enjoying special status, it must introduce reforms on extending reservations on economic basis only irrespective of caste so that it serves as an example for model of inclusive development "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas" for the whole nation. Joint Action Committee impressed upon general category people to intensify their agitation and come on roads if any move of political parties is against the general category masses. |
