Early Times Report

Jammu, June 20: SOS International An Organisation for PoK Displaced Persons today organized a Day Light Torch Procession on International Refugee Day at Tawi Bridge in Jammu.
Thousands of PoK DPs spearheaded by S0S, International Chairman, Rajiv Chuni participated in the procession taking candles and torches in their hands gathered at Maharaja Hari Singh's Statue at Tawi Bridge to mark their resentment over the discriminative approach adopted by Central and State Governments to deliver much awaited justice to them. While addressing the gathering at Maharaja Hari Singh's Statue, Chuni said that they have taken out the Day Light Torch Procession because the Present Government has completely turned blind and is unable to see even in the broad day light.
"Our message is very clear that PoK DPs will not sit still until their demands are met and they must be given their due rights for which they have been struggling since long", Chuni said.
"If God makes a person visible impaired, it provides person with eyes of heart to keep balance but the weird thing is that this Government is totally blind in both terms", he added.
SOS International Chairman further added that PoK DPs have lost their all and moreover they have been continuously fallen prey of Government's biased policies adding that various Displaced Persons are living in India and it is very unfortunate that every community is treated with different yard sticks.
Kashmiri Migrants who have vacated their native places deliberately are given every facility but on the contrary it is not in the case of PoK DPs which is adding more woes to their plight. Lalit Kumar conduct stage others who also spoke were JS Mangal, Roshan Lal, VK Dutta, Virinder Khajuria, Sanjeev Suri, Narinder Paul Singh, Tarvinder Singh, OP Khajuria and ON Raina.
