| Kissan board expresses gratitude to CM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: Daljit Singh Chib, MoS, and Vice Chairman J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans has expressed satisfaction and conveyed gratitude to Chief Minister Mehbooa Mufti for appreciating the steps by Kisan Board for development and welfare of the farmers of the State.
Chib who had a detailed meeting with the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had a thread bare discussion with her about all the issues which the farming community is facing.
"It is the result of the personal meetings with Mehbooba Mufti that she announced that loan taken by the farmers under Kisan Credit cards up to one lakh will be waived off immediately," he said.
He said that an order was also issued for implementation of Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna and constitution of different committees at state and district levels so that this scheme is implemented during the present kharief season under the supervision of B.R. Sharma, chief secretary of J&K State.
As agreed upon by Mehbooba Mufti, the third and most important achievement was that an order was issued for nomination of members of the Jammu and Kashmir State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans to give a concrete shape to this Board. |
