How Mirwaiz, others instigate Kashmiri Muslims | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 7: It is now almost clear: Things in Kashmir Valley will not improve. Why? Why because on the eve of Eid self-styled chairman of APHC-M chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq instigated gullible Kashmiri Muslims to heighten their break-India and hate-India activities and a senior BJP minister on the day of Eid described the amnesty "a historic decision". Extending Eid greetings to the entire Muslim Ummah and the Muslims worldwide caught in strife Mirwaiz said, if the message of Eid al-Fitr was followed in letter and spirit, it would help the entire world blossom and that in reality only those people deserved to be felicitated who tried to follow the message of holy Quran and fulfill their duties during the month of Ramadan and also urged Kashmiri Muslims to carry forward anti-India movement to achieve the goal: Independence from India. "As far as celebrating Eid-al-Fitr in Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, people (in this case obviously Kashmiri Muslims) would, this year, too, pray that their innumerable sacrifices do not go waste and resolve to carry forward the resistance struggle (anti-India movement) until their just struggle (in this case communal struggle) reaches its logical conclusion," said Mirwaiz in his Eid message. He also urged Kashmiri Muslims to "take stock of where the beloved Kashmir nation stood" and asked them "not (to) overlook the sacrifices of lives and properties rendered by the elderly men and women, sisters and mothers and who continue to sacrifice for seeing the Kashmir issue reach its logical conclusion". It was an occasion to ask the people to eschew violence and work for peace, brotherhood and political stability in the state, but he chose to instigate them, thus making it loud and clear that he, like other separatists, doesn't wind bloodshed not only in the Muslim world but also in Jammu and Kashmir. If Mirwaiz asked the Kashmiri Muslims to carry forward the anti-India struggle aimed at causing another communal partition of India, a senior BJP minister further added fuel to the fire by describing the official decision to grant amnesty to traitors as historic. "Grant of amnesty is a historic decision," he said, notwithstanding the fact that the decision was fraught with dangerous ramifications. Remember, the government virtually treated the nationalists of Jammu at par with the traitors in Kashmir. All this should only serve to demonstrate that there are elements in the establishment who, like the Kashmiri separatists, do not want peace to return to the Valley and other parts of the state. It is a matter of regret.
