Recruitment rules tailored in Health Deptt | 7 MMPHWs appointed without sanction posts | | Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, July 7: Making mockery of norms the Health Department allegedly to appease some politicians, has appointed 7 Male Multi Purpose Health Workers sanction posts in Samba district. According to documents available with Early Times 10 MMPHWs engaged in Samba against the sanctioned strength of three. "There were three posts of MMPHWs in Ramgarh Hospital, while no similar posts were sanctioned for Nud and Purmandal hospital", sources said, adding that seven MMPHWs were appointed under alleged political pressure. "Six MMPHWs were appointed at Nud Hospital against the sanctioned posts of Junior Pharmacists, and one MMPHW was appointed against the post of Junior Pharmacist in Purmandal Hospital", sources said. "These appointments were made to adjust relatives of politicians during NC-Congress regime. The matter of 'illegitimate' appointments came into light when some trained MMPHWs from district Samba submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Samba, over the issue", he added. They further said that in response to Deputy Commissioner Samba, the Chief Medical Officer, Samba informed about the factual position of posts of MMPHWs in Samba. "On June 25, 2016 the DC has sought the vacancy positions of MMPHWs at Nud, Purmandal and Ramghar PHCs", they added. "It is very unfortunate, that rules are being tailored by the department to pave way for relatives of politicians", said one of the trained MMPHW, and added that these appointments were made clandestinely. "We were trained and eligible, but no notification was published by the recruitment agency of these appointments", he alleged. The trained MMPHWs have sought intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Health Minister, Bali Bhagat to rationalize the wrong doing of previous government. When contacted, CMO Samba, Dr Rajiv Sharma he admitted that MMPHWS engaged against posts of Junior Pharmacists. "I was asked by the DC, and accordingly information received from concern BMOs corroborated that MMPHWs engaged without sanctioned posts", he added. |
