Early Times Report

jammu, July 7: In continuation of its struggle for bringing up better education scenario in state and remind the present regime about its commitment of stream lining the state education setup, the General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) has raised its voice against transfer of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers after their regularization and said that it would create financial mismanagement and administrative problem. In a press conference at Press Club Jammu, Neeraj Sharma State President GLTF said that the present Government is expected earnestly to undo the wrong decisions taken up by the previous NC - Congress Government for their vested interests.
"Under the previous regime the education department was completely in disarray and no rule or regulation was left to follow," he said that favouring 5 year service and transfer for RETs was a misadventure by a previous govt and was illogical, uncalled and gravely detrimental for general line teachers recruited through nodal recruitment agency the Service Selection Board (SSB). Sharma demanded that screening test should be conducted for all ReTS /RRETs to rid off the education department from all those quacks who possess invalid/fake degrees.
Adding further Neeraj Sharma reiterated the demands of '"no transfer policy for ReTs whether male or female" on any ground as RET posts were created for school specific and village specific as these teachers have pledged to serve and thereby got their jobs in particular locality. He also urged education minister to issue an order for which he had said in legislative assembly that the salary of all unauthorized transfer RRETs would not be released till the time they report back to their original places of posting or engagement. Speakers also demanded immediate "closure of ReT scheme which has caused colossal damage to the education department. They also said that Transfer Mela" initiated by the department is mere an eye wash as only blue eyed are again going to rule the roost. Other demands highlighted on the occasion were immediate adjustment order in favour of teachers promoted to master in February 2014 DPC and timely release NPS and other salary grants.
Prominent others present in the press conference included Daleep Kumar Digra , Parshotam Singh , Provincial President, Digvijay Singh District President Jammu, Sonu Sharma , Vivek Gupta District President Udhampur, Rajinder Atri District President Ramban, Shiv Nandan Sharma District President Kathua, Tejinder Singh, Amit Dabgotra, Naresh Manhas, Kiran Pandita, Sukhdev Singh, and others.
