Authorities never took our matters seriously, say JU SC/ST employees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association held a meeting here today wherein its members stated that the matters pertaining to SC/ST are not taken seriously by their authorities. However, they had submitted a fresh charter of demands to the JU authorities requesting wherein that the rosters points which were required to be filled up with SC/ST through reservation in promotion for various clerical posts under the reservation rules and were not filled up due to a J&K High Court Order dated 9.10.2015, be now filled up in view of the 'Interim Order' dated 18.03. 2016 issued by the Supreme Court of India but the authorities didn't take the said Apex court order into consideration while issuing three promotion orders after 18.03.2016. Members of organization has urged JU authorities several times to implement 'Interim Order' dated 03.12.2009 issued by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir for consideration of their President R.L. Kaith on the post of Assistant Registrar but no step has been taken by the authority so far. They mentioned that Kaith had qualified the written entrance test and was shortlisted for the said post but unfortunately was not interviewed by the then Selection Committee of the University and that's why he had approached the Court for seeking justice. |
