512 joins CRPF family, took oath to serve the nation

Srinagar, July 14: Emotional scenes were today witnessed when 512 recruits becomes members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) after participating in the Passing-out parade here.
Immediately after participating in the passing out parade, the constables jumped in joy and were greeted by friends and relatives on becoming the member of the CRPF family.
Commandant Jaidev Kesri administered the Oath of allegiance to 512 new recruits as appointing authority after a one year long training.
Additional Director General (ADG), CRPF, Deepak Mishra Srinagar took the salute and reviewed the Parade as Chief Guest.
On the occasion, distinguished guests, CRPF personnel and their families were present. It was a moment of pride and accomplishment for the trainees and trainers as well.
In a colorful ceremony, true with established traditions and customs of the Force. Passing-out Parade of 98th batch of Constables was held today at RTC, CRPF, Srinagar sprawling Campus. DIGP and Principal RTC Mahesh Kumar highlighted the diversified role of RTC and its growth. It was highlighted that RTC, Srinagar has trained 22,700 recruits till now since its inception in 1990. He explained the endeavour of RTC, Srinagar in shaping the all round personality of trainee for grooming them as excellent soldiers of future by imparting qualitative training. These 512 constables hail from different States. Notwithstanding inclement weather conditions and snowfall, the enthusiasm of the Recruits was to be seen, to be believed. These constables are imparted intensive Training on connected subjects besides conditioning them to operate in different internal security situations.
Emphasis is also given to subjects like Law, Human Rights and Police-Public Relations, Field Crafts, Tactics, Militancy, VIP Security and Naxalisam. These recruits are inducted into the force as constables only on passing of rigorous tests and examinations conducted periodically during Basic Training of about one year.
Recruits were mainly responded by States of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa Maharashtra, J&K , Karnatakaand Haryana.
It is noteworthy that maximum soldiers will be posted to valley based Units BNs only to augment the grim Law and order situation in Kashmir.
Deepak Mishra addressed the Recruits and congratulated them for the grand Parade of a very high standards. The parade was a reflection of Professionalism, ability and discipline of the recruits.
The Chief Guest also congratulated the officers and trainers of RTC for their excellent efforts to make the Parade impressive and lauded excellent Training standards. He urged the newly passed constables to dedicate themselves to the cause of the Nation and abide by the Oath, they have just taken The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and trophies to the following trainees for their outstanding performances.All Round best went to Recruit General Duty (RT/GD) Raju Kumar Sharma, Best Indoor RT/GD/ Abhishek Kumar, Best Indoor RT/GD Pratap Malik and Best Firing RT/GD Ranjeet Kumar.
