Early Times Report Jammu, July 14:Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the smooth conduct of eight day long Shri Buddha Amarnathji Yatra commencing from August 09. Inspector General of Police Danish Rana, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed, District Development Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Rehana Batul, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Arun Manhas, SSP, Dr. Sunil Gupta besides other senior officers of Tourism, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and representatives of Sh. Buddha Amarnath Yatra management committees of Rajouri and Poonch districts were present in the meeting. Dr. Pawan Kotwal took stock of arrangements regarding availability of essentials and LPG besides providing medicare facilities, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, parking and accommodation facilities for yatries in Rajouri and Poonch were also discussed during the meeting. Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure proper arrangements for reception of the pilgrims, security, accommodation, sanitation and traffic regulation so that devotees don't face any inconvenience. |
