Kalakot, July 20: A youth was beaten up by the attendants of a patient inside the community health centre (CHC) here after he tried to take his photographs. Shakeel Ahmad, son of Khalil Ahmad of Breavi, Kalakote, was admitted to the CHC here after he consumed poison at his residence in the morning. Darbari Lal, who sends photographs to a Hindi daily in Jammu, was taking photographs of the patient when the latter's brother Mohammad Rafiq and a cousin objected to it and allegedly beat him up, police sources said. After thrashing him, the accused fled the spot. The victim later lodged a complaint against them with Kalakote police station. While police had registered a case against them under sections 382 and 323 of RPC, the accused were yet to be taken into custody, the sources added. |
