Miscreants write Anti India slogans on street walls during peaceful shutdown in Kishtwar
Police to scrutinize CCTV footage installed in area

Kishtwar, July 20: The members of majority community in mountainous Kishtwar District today observed peaceful shutdown against the killings of innocent people in valley in post death of Hizb militant Burhan Wani. However some miscreants going beyond have written anti Indian slogans on street walls.
As per the details available with "Early Times", all the business establishment including shops observed complete shutdown on the call given by the separatist groups and Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar who demanded to bring an end to use of excessive force on protestors in Kashmir.
Contrary to last two occasion, minority community today refused to follow the shutdown call which according to the community representatives is being observed at behest of Pakistan government that called for observing today as Black Day.
The community members told that as a part of solidarity with those innocent civilians killed in Kashmir, the community extended its support to the call given by Imam Jamia Masjid added that the strike should not become a regular practice in future.
On the request of the minority community representatives, the majority community today refrain itself from erecting the blockade on Kishtwar city roads.
Meanwhile some miscreants during last intervening night wrote Pro Freedom and anti national slogan's on walls of various streets including in high security zone area of Gudhali Chowk. The provocative slogans were also seen written on walls in areas dominated by minority community and the act was seen as an attempt to provoke the sentiments of particular community but the people from both communities maintained calm to thwart the attempt of these miscreants.
"We can understand what miscreants wants by indulging in such activities--- people of Kishtwar are wise enough to understand such ploys of anti national elements" said a member of minority community and resident of Gudhali Chowk Kishtwar. He said that repeated attempts have been made since last few days by the miscreants to provoke the people of both the communities but they have failed to accomplish their goal as local had understood the importance of peace.
Another person demanded that police and administration to identify these miscreants so that they could be taken to logical conclusion for their act of treason.
The eyewitness informed the "Early Times" that after noticing the provocative and anti national slogans written on street walls, the matter immediately was brought into the notice of senior police officers who swung into action swiftly and rushed to the spot to handle the situation.
Meanwhile police sources informed that police will scrutinize the CCTV footage of the camera's installed in the area to ascertain the culprits behind this act of treason.
"We clearly told the representatives of majority community not to block roads-- in case roads will be blocked in future by erecting blockade-- action will be taken against those involved" said senior police officials and the officers of District administration.
The official further told that no one will be allowed to destabilize peace and tranquility in Kishtwar District and added that law will take its own course against those who are involved in anti peace and anti national activities.
