| Youth murdered in Nagrota, 3 detained | | |

Jammu, July 20: Three persons reportedly have been detained by the police after a youth allegedly was murdered in Nagrota area during last intervening night. Police have registered a murder case and started investigations in this regard.
Police sources said, "The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Khajuria son of Sham resident of Narayian, Nagrota."
Sources said that the critically injured Pankaj was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu by two youth on scooty at around 12;00 am. However the critically injured Pankaj at 1:30am succumbed to his fatal injuries, they added.
They further said that deceased had injury marks on head, stomach and both legs.
"After that police informed the family members of the deceased, sources said, adding the relatives of deceased on reaching the GMC&H Jammu started blaming the youth who have shifted the deceased to GMC&H Jammu for having murdered Pankaj.
Police sources added the youth who have shifted the deceased to GMC rejected the accusations outrightly and claimed that they found the youth in injured condition at Kandoli area. Sources said that police have detained some suspects and is questioning them.
Meanwhile Police have registered a case and further investigation of the case is on. |
