Akhnoor, July 20: Prominent citizens of Akhnoor Tehsil today formed unit of Dogra Sadar Sabha of Akhnoor Tehsil, in an extra- ordinary meeting held under the chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak.
The office bearers/members nominated for the newly constituted unit included Sardar Singh as president, Ram Lal Bhagat as vice president, Sham Singh Chib as vice president, Lal Chand Bhagat as general secretary , Pawan Kumar as secretary, Kuldeep Singh as cashier, Jagmohan Singh Lawar as organizing secretary and Vinod Gupta, Thoru Ram Sharma, Chanchal Singh and
Vikram Verma as members.
While addressing the office bearers and other members of the newly constituted unit, Gulchain Singh Charak congratulated them and gave a detailed historical background of Dogra Sadar Sabha, and also briefed the participants about showing unity and solidarity which is the need of the hour in view of the prevailing circumstances of valley and its expected effects in Jammu province with a particular reference to the ensuing Amar Nath and buda Amar Nath yatras. Members of newly constituted unit and other participants assured the President to work tire-lessely for the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Sabha. |
