Cong holds BJP-PDP for messing up the state situation

udhampur, July 20: District Congress Committee Udhampur today held a strong protest demonstration at its HQ Dhar Road Udhampur to express strong resentment over the prevailing situation in the Kashmir Valley.
A large number of Congress activists and workers led by Ashok Gupta, president Dist. Congress Committee Udhampur, and Krishan Chander Bhagat (ex-MLA) besides other functionaries carrying placards and raising slogans against Pakistan & denouncing terrorism assembled in front of Dist. Congress HQ Dhar Road and marched towards District Commissioner Office Udhampur but the police prevented them to enter DC office complex.
Speaking on the occasion Krishan Chander Bhagat held the Centre and State Govt. responsible for the present situation.
He criticized both Centre and State governments for not providing fool proof security to the Amarnath Yatris who had to face lot of hardships at various places enroute and were subjected to attacks and harassment by miscreants during these periods in the absence of proper security and managements.
Ashok Gupta in his address lashed out at the PDP-PJP for its failure to deal with the situation. He said that the BJP stands exposed for its total failure on all fronts. The government was silent spectator to the deteriorating security situation in the Valley as a result there is reverse trend in the peace and normalcy and situation has taken ugly shape now.
Cautioning the people against certain anti-national forces who may try to destabilize the peace, Gupta appealed them not to fall in the trap of such forces and maintain communal harmony and traditional brotherhood at all costs.
Prominent among those who attended the protest were Vijay Manhas, Ashok Bakshi, Surinder Khajuria, Manav Upaddhya, Mohan Lal Kalsotra, Yash Pal Sharma, Suram Chand, Suresh Khajureia, Dwarka Prakash,, Kartar Singh-Lamberdar, Inyatullah Meeni, Ramesh Chander, Girdhari Lal Basora, Amit Modhi, Sunil Khajuria, Amir Pandey, Rakesh Gudda, Kushal Gupta, Amit Tadyal, Swankho Devi, Savitri Devi and others.
