| Impersonator posing ARTO held with two accomplices | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12: Kud police today claimed to have arrested an impersonator posing as an Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) along with his other accomplices allegedly for collecting money from the truck drivers on National Highway under the area under the jurisdiction Police Station Kud. "Police have identified the arrested as Rattandeep Singh son of Rajinder Singh, Amarjeet Singh son of Surjit Singh and Vijay Singh son of Payar Singh all resident of Kud, police sources said. Sources from Udhampur said, "Today in the morning Kud Police arrested an impersonator ARTO with his two associates who were collecting money from the truck drivers on the National Highway. They said some of the drivers got suspicion over their activities and informed Kud Police. "Acting swiftly on the information, police party from Kud Police Station under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) reached the spot and arrested all the impersonators, police sources said. Meanwhile a case under FIR no. 77/16 under sections 419, 420 and 471 of RPC has been registered and further investigation of the case is on. |
