Cong completely directionless in J&K, two party leaders discredited APD's visit | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 12: Principal opposition party of the country-Congress is completely directionless in J&K because every leader in speaking in different language on prevailing Kashmir situation. While as some leaders are advocating strict against those who are involved in stone pelting and other disruptive activities in Kashmir, some leaders are openly supporting stone throwers. Some Congress leaders active on social media, who are claiming themselves to be very closed to Central leaders, are openly preaching secessionism on social media. Similarly another group of leaders are speaking Hurriyat language without taking permission from the authorised persons in the party. Recently a meeting recently constituted Pir-Panchal Unity Forum was held here in Jammu to discuss a wide range of issues confronting the State. Two Congress leaders are in the fore-front in constituting this Forum, which has discredited visit of the All Party Delegation (APD) to J&K. The meeting discussed the prevailing situation in major parts of the State particularly in the valley of Kashmir and the Governments' callous approach to get out of decades old mess. They meeting expressed solidarity and support for the people of Kashmir at this hour of repression. Interestingly, the Forum, in which two Congress leaders are prominent members, while referring to the visit of the All Parties Delegation to Srinagar and the befitting response it received, said that the Governments must get the message loud and clear to understand that the people of Jammu and Kashmir mean serious business sans any efforts of fooling around. Based on past experiences, such delegation have lost their credibility and relevance hence a realistic approach must follow, sooner than later. The meeting also made it clear that the people of Greater Pir Panchal are also on the same page as the people of Kashmir. Ironically Congress representatives were part of the All Party Delegation but party's own leaders were criticising the visit. |
