Police cracks burglars racket, three held with gold ornaments worth Rs 3 Lakh

Kathua, Sept 12: Kathua Police today have claimed to busted burglars racket with the arrest of three burglars and recovering gold orhanments and others valuables worth Rs 3 Lakhs. Further investigations are on in this regard.
"The accused have been identified as Kalu s/o Bhagta r/o Guta Rua Marheen Rajbagh, Raj Kumar s/o Roop Lal R/o ladwal and Chanda Ram S/o Kartar Chand R/o Mirpur muthi Teh Nagri Kathua", police said.
Police spokesperson said, "On August 30, one complainant Balwinder Singh s/o S Darshan singh r/o Mukundpur labana Teh Marheen Distt Kathua lodged a written report with Police Post Marheen regarding burglary in his house."
Quoting complainant, police said, "The complainant in his complaint stated that the unknown burglars stole all the gold ornaments kept in house by his wife."
"On this, a report a case FIR No-206/16 u/s 457/380 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up by SI Braham Dev Singh Incharge Police Post Marheen, police said. Police said that during investigation, one burglar namely Kalu of Guta Rua Marheen Rajbagh was apprehended on the allegations raised by the complainant.
"During sustained questioning the accused confessed his involvement in the said case and also disclosed the involvement of his two more associates namely Raj kumar and Chanda Ram in the of said offence."
On his disclosures, both accused were also arrested and later were put on sustained interrogation who spilled the beans, police spokesperson, adding, "their their disclosure police party recovered all the stolen ornaments worth three lakhs."
Police said, " The detail of recovered gold ornaments included gold Bangles-02, Kada-01, Necklace-01, Ladies chain with locket (pendent) -02, Rings (ladies)-02, Rings(Gents)-01, Ear pins-01(pair), Ear rings-01 (Pair), Artificial ear holdings-01(pair), Whereas silver jewelry included Jhanjhars-04 (pair) Kangan (children)-01(pair), Locket-04(pairs), wrist watches-02, Foot rings-02. Police said that the accused also have confessed their involvement in other burglaries also.
"The recoveries were made by Insp Ajay Jamwal SHO PS Rajbagh, SI Braham Dev I/c PPMarheen under the close supervision of Dy. SP Dewakar singh SDPO Border and under overall supervision of Ms Neeva Jain SSP Kathua," spokesperson added.
