Jammu marathoners create history in Ladakh Marathon 5th Edition | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12: Jammu marathoners created history by completing world's highest and toughest half marathon held at Leh-Ladakh at a stretch situated at a height of 11500 ft in well before time. According to a press statement issued today, four men and sports enthusiast woman of Jammu have shown sky is the limit by participating in this toughest marathon. The participants who created history include Rajesh Padha (58) V.K Dogra (53) Gaurav Gupta (35) and Pawan Sharma (49) by shown the courage to fight all odds, hostile weather and rugged terrain to complete the challenge. "All four marathoners from jammu has completed the same in a very well time, the statement said, adding, "The team not familiar with the weather conditions took the Challenge. "Before marathon all of us were discourged by everyone known to us but we made up over mind to go for it said, "buoyant Rajesh Padha, adding, "it was a proud moment for all of us and Jammu also. He said that a total of 1970 participants from across the world and national as well participated in this unique event held at a height of 11,500 ft to 17,618 ft. Among women veteran category non local Pawan Sharma has created a history by clinching third position in the marathon and making proud for all. |
