1 dead, 17 injured in Anantnag Militants strike 9/13/2016 12:08:57 AM Saahil Suhail Srinagar, Sept 12: One civilian was killed on spot and 17 others including five policemen sustained critical injuries in Sherbagh area of Anantnag district after militants attacked Police Post with hand grenade this evening. Reports said that this evening militants hurled a grenade towards the police post which exploded near the front gate with big bang. Cops including the police officer looking after the Behibagh Police Post sustained injuries. Around 12 Civilians who had came out on roads to buy food stuff for Eid festival too suffered injuries. Among them one identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat r/o Malaknag Anantnag died on spot due to splinter injuries. He was declared brought dead, doctors at DIstrict Hospital told ET.They said that two among the injured civilians were shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
