Rajouri, Sept 12: During a surprise visit to government offices and schools, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, today found nine employees, including a Treasury Officer (TO) and the Bal Ashram Superintendent, unauthorisedly absent from duties. They included TO Mohammad Shafiq, accountant Shafiq-ul-Rehaman, accounts assistant Mohammad Alam, orderly Nazir Hussain, superintendent Khalil Ahmed, junior assistant Manir Hussain, master Mohammad Qasim, teacher Shahnaz Begum and incharge junior assistant Mohammad Rafiq. Their salaries were stopped and instructions had been given by the deputy commissioner to their concerned heads to chargesheet them, official sources said. The surprise check was conducted by ADC Mohammad Mumtaz Ali, following complaints by locals that several senior and junior officers were unauthorisedly absent from duties ahead of the eid festival. During his visit to Kotranak, he found the TO, accountant, account assistant and an orderly unauthorizedly absent. A master and a teacher were found absent from duty in two schools while a superintendent and a junior assistant were found absent at Bal Ashram, Budhal. "The DC has stopped the salaries of these employees and directed their officers to chargesheet them and conduct inquiry into their unauthorised absence from duties and submit report within seven days," the sources added. |
