Panthers' is only 'voice of people' of Jammu Pradesh: Harsh | Saffron Party had adopted appeasement policy towards valley youths who were involved in civil unrest | | Early Times Report
Ramnagar, Oct 7: Inculpating the State government and the BJP in particular for miserably failing to address the Jammu related issues, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister said that the BJP's tall promise of "Achey Din" for the people before the Assembly elections had despicably proved to be 'good days' for the Saffron MLAs and the Ministers. While addressing several public gatherings at village Marta, Dalsar and Ramnagar town in tehsil Ramnagar, former minister and Sr Panthers leader, Singh said that Panthers Party was the only reckoning force and voice of people of Jammu region which had been fighting for the rights and justice of the Dogras. He reiterated his pledge to continue his crusade against the discrimination unless all the aspirations of the people were addressed and fulfilled in letter and spirit. Taking a dig upon BJP, he said, "All the grandiloquent slogans raised by the Saffron brigade had fallen flat which only unveiled the deceitful and two faced character of the BJP." "Saffron party which turned a blind eye over the aspirations of the people in the last two years only bothered to keep the sinister alliance intact with the PDP to satiate its greed for power, he said. Asserting that the BJP partnered Government in the State proved disastrous and ominous in every aspect, Harsh Dev Singh said that amid the administrative disarray, the BJP was only indulging in flip flops and opportunist politics by succumbing to the dictates of Kashmiri leaders. Citing the BJP's surrenders and blunders, he pointed out that the BJP had lost the moral rectitude when it shamelessly allowed the introduction of the J&K Land laws (Amendment) bill 2016 in the Assembly which prevented the transfer of land to the non-State Subjects. He wondered and sought explanation from the Saffron brigade that how could BJP which rabble roused to abrogate article 370 towed the PDP line to debar the non- State Subjects to procure land in the State on lease and by other legal instruments. Launching further attack on the Saffron party, Singh divulged that the BJP had once again perpetrated injustice to the Dogra youth by taking a decision to recruit 10,000 SPOs in the Police department all from Kashmir. He lamented that it happened for the first time in history that all posts sanctioned for the state were assigned to the valley to the exclusion of Jammu region. He maintained that while the Saffron Party had adopted the policy of appeasement towards the youth of Kashmir who were involved in civil unrest and other subversive acts including stone pelting, arson and violent shut downs in the ongoing turmoil, the youth of Jammu Pradesh carrying National flag in their hands to confront the secessionist agenda would be out rightly debarred from the recruitment of SPOs. He said that BJP in the last two years failed to take any cognizance on the coveted projects which had been gathering dust for ages. He said that much hyped Mubarak Mandi and Patnitop Cable Car projects had failed to see the light of the day. Moreover, the beautification of Jammu, artificial lake and flyovers in Jammu, promotion and development of twin lakes of Mansar and Surinsar in Jammu ,etc. had become distant dreams which otherwise were promised to the people during the election campaigns by the Saffron party. He also raised the issues of unemployed and daily wagers contractual / adhoc employees of various govt departments. He also took up the issues and problems being faced by of the people of area and sought early redressal of their problems. Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Pt Shiv Ram Sharma, Dev Singh, Sarpanch Bitta, Shankar Dass, Yog Raj, Chanchal Singh, Sanjay Singh, Dayal Kumar, Ravi Sharma, Akash Kharka, Uttam Singh, Happy, Sunil, Rashpal Singh, Mohit Mankotia and Amardeep Singh. |
