Apple Kids celebrates Dandia festival | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 7: In order to aware the younger generations about the traditional values and customs, Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab organized 'Dandia Festival' on the occasion of 'Navratras' at the school premises here today. Girls clad in Lehnga-Choli and boys in Sherwani danced on the Dandia numbers to celebrate the occasion. Dandia which is a traditional Indian folk dance for men and women was celebrated in great style. The day was full of joy, enthusiasm and festivity as the dance steps were quite simple making it more fun for the children to explore these dance steps along with the teachers. Later, the students were also briefed about the importance of the 'Navratras' festival by the Director of the school, Arti Sharma.
