Jammu, Nov 5: High court judge Alok Aradhe has directed vice-chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) to take a decision on the proposal for allotment of alternate site to the petitioner, a hotlier. The court directive came in a petition filed by Modern Hotel Pvt Ltd, seeking to restraint the respondents from evicting the petitioner from the land measuring 10 marlas 152 sft which is under his occupation possession of the petitioner as JDA lessee. The petitioner also sought a direction to JDA to allot him an alternate site in the adjoining area.
Justice Aradhe, after hearing the two sides, disposed of the petition with the direction that to the JDA VC to take a decision on the proposal for allotment of alternate site to the petitioner, if the decision has not already been taken.
It would be decided by passing a speaking order within a period of two months, he directed. |
