JKFMWWA calls Director Family Welfare, discuss burning issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 8: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Workers Welfare Association (JKFMWWA) under the supervision of Sushil Sudan President JKMEF called on Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization J&K, Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma and put forth the burning demand regarding salary of FMPHWs working under 2211 Family Welfare which is pending for the last Eight Months. The delegation lead by Vinod Kumar Sharma, Secretary General JKMEF, Neelam Kumari and Manjeet Singh and they highlighted their smoldering demands. Previous assurances given by Director Family Welfare and the Secretary Health and Medical Education Department Dr. M.K Bhandari were not fulfilled even after the lapse of 8 months and the deadlined month of September has already passed and even now there is no sign of any fruitful action from the administrative side. It's a pity that for the last two decades we are struggling for salary which is our right, to get in time as all the Female Multi Purpose Workers are working round the clock efficiently and honestly. It is impressed upon the fact that all the Female workers are suffering to their limits. Some of the members of the Association are suffering from life consuming disease but are not in a position to get treatment in lieu of salary from the last 8 months. It becomes a mere mockery that on one side our Hon'ble Prime Minister is talking about the welfare of women and giving slogans of "Beti Bachao Beti Padao" but for what, to die of starving without salaries. The studies of their wards are affected very badly. Later Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma, after listening to the grievances of Female Multipurpose Workers assured them of early redressal of their problems and committed to release all the pending dues by the end of this month as the necessary process has already been initiated under the kind supervision of Health Minister Bali Bhagat. Among others who attended and addressed the meeting were Rekha Rani, Mamta Sharma, Sarso Devi, Savita Kumari, Satya Devi, Raj Kumari, Soma Devi, , Nirmal Kaur, Meena Kumari, Parveen Akhter, Pushpa Devi, Swarn Kour, Kanchana Dev, Sunita Devi, Sapna Gupta and others. |
