jammu, Nov 8: 'Disappointed' over employees' boycott from frequent 'Darbar' being called by him, the Forest Minister has called top officers for hatching another plot.
According to sources on the diktats of the Minister, the department is mulling to call anther meeting of top officers, to go a step ahead, to 'curb' the rebellious.
"Soon a meeting of Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), Deputy Conservators of Forests (DCFs) and Assistant Conservators of Forests (ACFs) will take place over the scuffle that took place at Sidhra, leaving the Minister redfaced", sources said, and added that the agenda of meeting is to muzzle the officials who dare the autocracy of the Minister.
"The employees were helpless to bear expenses of frequent 'Darbars' are being called the Minister, the officials from far-flung areas have to pay at-least Rs 3500-4000 to attend each meeting", sources said and added that even the Forest Guards were not exempted from Minister's Darbar.
"This type of expenses, encourages official for corruption to meet their expenses", said an official and added that an FIR No. 199/ 2016 stands registered against the officials at Police Station Nagrota.
"Eight employees have been suspended by the department while enquiry has been initiated against 150 others who were not present there at Sidhra Rest House, on October 17, 2016", he said.
"It is nothing but an attempt to gage the voices of employees, who opposed Minister's dictatorship and boycotted frequent fruitless 'Darbars' being held by the Minister", they said and added that even class-IV employees were not speared by the Minister.
However, the court has granted bails to officials who were booked under various sections i.e. 341/323/332/353/382/504/506 RPC at PS Nagrota. "Every person is presumed to be innocent until the accusation is proved against him/her. Bail is rule and its refusal has to be exceptional circumstances. Ld APP has not been able to show any material warranting denied of such concession to the petitioner. FIR appears to be of politically motivated.
