ISYF NGO seeks ending of Darbar move tradition | | | Early Times Report
Udampur, Nov 8: Indian Socialist Youth Front has demanded an end to the annual darwar move tradition. According to press release, a meeting of Front members was held under the chairmanship of Raghubir Gandotra. The members expressed their concern over governments expenditure worth crores spent on Darbar Moves in biannually tradition. The national and stage flags on the civil secretariat were taken down the building was locked up and whole administration from the secretaries to the peons bundled off to Srinagar for the summer. Sushil Sharma said that J&K is only the state of Indian union where secretariat shift from Srinagar to Jammu, which must be stopped to save revenue. They appealed State as well as Union government to abolish the practice. |
