JAC reiterates support to Mehbooba Mufti led Government in turbulent times | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 8: Joint Action Committee (General Category), J&K organized a press conference today at Press Club Jammu on the issue of "No Reservation in Promotions". The press conference was addressed by Ved Prakash Sharma, convenor JAC & president Brahman Sabha,.Vinod Gupta, President Central Mahajan Sabha , Narayan Singh ,president Rajput Sabha, Capt. Anil Gaur ,Secy.(Org.) JAC, Ravi Khajuria, and Rajkumar Jain, President Jain Sabha. Speaking to the galaxy of media persons in the jam packed press club Jammu on the issue, Narayan Singh, President Rajput Sabha, urged the Government to expedite the disposal of the writ petition in the Supreme court on the matter of Reservation in Promotions, so that justice bestowed upon the General category people by the historic judgment of Hon'ble High court declaring the Reservation in Promotion as unconstitutional is thoroughly implemented in the State. Speaking on the occasion Ved Prakash Sharma, Convenor JAC, J&K highlighted that in similar matter pertaining to states like Uttar Pradesh the supreme court found the reservation in promotion rules as unconstitutional and ordered the demotion of all illegal promotees who had been promoted under the garb of these flawed rules. Ravi Khajuria,Convenor JAC Samba Unit lambasted the groups and organizations who just for vote bank politics are trying to divide the society in the name of caste and demeaning the judicial process by raising hue and cry on a matter that has been decided in the High Court and currently subjudice in the Supreme court. It is pertinent to mention here that the Supreme Court has already directed to maintain status quo vis-a -vis Reservation in Promotions. While addressing the media persons and other members of JAC, Captain Anil Gaur, reiterated that in the current situation of turmoil in state, when state is witnessing massive border resident's migration and already lot of loss of lives in Kashmir unrest, the hue and cry raised by the groups on this sub - judice issue is totally inhuman, derogatory and against principles of natural justice. This is a moment to display communal harmony, brotherhood, unity and compassion irrespective of caste, colour and creed. The JAC extends complete support to Ram Pal Seth and Madan Lal Narad who were present on behalf of Aarakshan Virodhi Manch in their efforts for spreading awareness at the grass root level on the subject issue. |
