500 kg poppy straw recovered, drug peddler held 11/8/2016 10:09:58 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 8: In continuation to operation 'Sanjeevani', a special drive against drugs launched by Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, today Domana Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 500 kg poppy straw (bhukki) from their possession. Police spokesman said that during naka checking at Domana road Police Party of Domana police station headed by inspector Rajeshwar Singh intercepted a truck was coming from Srinagar towards Jammu. "On search of truck police recovered 500 Kg Poppy Straw concealed in apple boxes and arrest the accused person", said police spokesman. Police said that they have registered a case in this regard at Police Station Domana under relevant section of law and further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain the source and destination of this consignment.
