SVO produces two challans in anti corruption court

Jammu, Nov 8: Two challans have been produced in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption court Jammu against two persons. According to press release, the challans have been produced against Vipan Kumar son of Bua Ditta resident of Rajinderpura Tehsil and District Samba then posted as Patwari Halqa Durai district Samba in case FIR NO. 25/2014 P/S VOJ and Baj Singh son of Hans Raj R/o Village Nikkian, Khour Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu the then I/C Giradwar Karyal Brahmana Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu in case FIR No. 13/2014 P/S VOJ by the State Vigilance Organisation Jammu. The case FIR 25/2014 P/S VOJ was registered on 04.10.2014 lodged by one Krishan Chand son of Maghar Ram R/o Bakhan Chack Tehsil and District Samba, alleging therein that Vipan Kumar the then patwari Halqa Durai, Samba demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 20,000/- from him for entering of mutation of his land at village Mananu. The complainant paid him Rs 20,000/-- as illegal gratification under compulsion.
Thereafter a trap was laid and said patwari was caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs 20,000/-as illegal gratification from the complainant in presence of the independent witnesses.
The case FIR 13/2014 P/S VOJ was registered on 21.05.2014 lodged by one Sh. Sunil Sharma S/o Sh. Rattan Chand R/o Chak Patyari Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu, alleging therein that Baj Singh the then Patwari Chack Patyari, Karyal Brahmana, Tehsil Bishnah demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 5500/- from him for issuing Fard of his land. On 20.05.2014 under compulsion complainant paid 2500/- to the concerned Patwari and on 21.05.2014 the complainant paid him remaining amount of 5500/- as illegal gratification under compulsion. Thereafter a Trap was laid and said patwari was caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs 5500/-as illegal gratification from the complainant in presence of the independent witnesses.
