Militancy graph up but ready to give befitting reply: DG CRPF | | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, Nov 8: Admitting that the number of militants had increased in Kashmir during the ongoing unrest, Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) K Durga Prasad on Tuesday that security agencies are well prapered to give them befitting reply. "we will give them a befitting reply," DG CRPF said when asked about Hafiz Saeed's Surgical strike threat. Internationally declared and known terrorist Hafiz Saeed who is Chief of the banned militant organisation, Lashker-e-Toiba has threatened to carry out major militant activities on the pattern of Surgical strikes which Indian army carried out on LoC last month. To an another question, DG CRPF said that graph of militancy has sharply increased duirng the last four months. "I don't have the actual figures with me but the number of militancy has surely increased," he said. The CRPF Chief said that although they haven't lost any weopan to militants but have strong mechanism in place to control weapon snatching incidents. Over the allegations that the CRPF Jawans duirng maintaining law and order, indulge in ransanking the public property, DG CRPF has assured "restraint". |
