Rahul berates Modi for all ills in India | | | The Congress Party does not miss a chance to open make fire against the BJP led NDA Government in general and against Narendra Modi in particular. Possibly the Congress seems to have forgotten about the emergency it imposed in 1975.Or it could be the case of feigned ignorance wishing to tell people that the situation had demanded imposition of emergency failing which the country would have been truncated and swept by caste and commubnal riots. No doubt whatever the Congreess vice-president, Rahul Gandhi told the working committee members is not wrong but he seems to be totally biased against Modi as if all the ills in the country, at present, are the creation of Modi. Well Modi has many positive points. He has been successful in smoothening relations with a number of countries including the US,the UK, Germany, Nepal, France and he is the first Prime Minister who has campaigned successfully in favour of "make in India" which has goaded him to invite many foreign companies to set up their units in India. However, the Congress leaders seem to be oblivious of these achievements and they delight in accusing the BJP government of silencing all who disagree and being obsessed with power, is the latest sermon from the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. He has said the party would expose the Centre's failures in the upcoming Parliament session. Chairing the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) in his mother and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's absence, Rahul Gandhi launched a no holds barred attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government saying "civil society was being threatened for asking questions and the cloak of national security was being used to do this."TV channels are being punished and asked to shut down.He seems to exaggerate things because temporary ban has been imposed on one TV channel which was put on hold later. Opposition is being arrested for holding the government to account. Democracy under the present dispensation is going through one of its darkest hours," Rahul Gandhi said in a gathering attended by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, all Congress general secretaries and senior leaders. He recalled the laws passed during the tenure of the Congress-led UPA Government, Rahul Gandhi said the incumbent dispensation was trying to actively dilute and undermine all those laws.He has cited a number of laws but has not mentioned anything about new laws that were expected to help people, especially the poor.Well Rahul Gandhi started berating Modi, whenever he would visit foreign countries with a mission of promoting cordial ties and helping India in toning up its economy,Rahul would called Modi "suit boot ki sarkar." And Modi has stuck to the protocol by wearing Band galla achkan and a pent instead of Rahul Gandhi's shirt and Pyjama. Yes, Modi could have emerged as the most successful prime Minister by now had he received support from his partymen and from those that have formed an alliance with the BJP. Modi could have emerged as the most dynamic Prime Minister had he been able to promote cordial ties with China and Pakistan, two main enemies of India. He has not been able to do so and hence the Government he heads has to bear needling from Pakistan and China |
