Jammu, Nov 14: MJR-47 (Movement for Justice for POJK 1947 Refugees) today has appreciated the statement of Shree Krishna Gopal, General Secretary, RSS at Shimla advocating representation to POJK-1947 Refugees in J&K State Assembly as well as in Indian Parliament. According to spokesperson of association, Pak Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) 1947, refugees have been suffering for the last almost seven decades only due to their political delineation. "We have been voting in all the state Assembly and Parliament elections but for our own representatives. We have been raising our voice to defreeze atleast (8) eight Assembly seatsfor DP's of POJK-1947 out of 24 kept reserved in the state assembly for POK, he added. "Non representation of DP's in the democratic system is the main cause of our sufferings, agony and all woes for the last 70 years, he said, adding, "No Govt who so ever, ever thought of giving us the relief for our left over moveable & immoveable property left behind in Tribal raid on state in 1947." "Of late the present dispensation had declared to remove the refugee tag of 1947 POK DP's. Even our PM Narinder Modi had declared package of Rs 2000 crores on 7th Nov 2015 at first instance which works out to Rs 5.5 lakhs per family against recommendation of Rs 25 lakhs/ family by state and Rs 30 lakhs interim relief by Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). "We demand if thinking has developed to give political representation and financial package to DP's, it should be translated to concrete action so that our long suffering is meted out to some extent, spokesperson added. |
