Jammu, Nov 14: Because of a controversy attached to him, a senior police officer of the rank of SSP has not got a posting for the past about six months.
Some senior police officers were transferred and given postings about six months back, but this officer, a senior IPS officer, was attached to PHQ. Since then, he had not been given any posting.
Police sources said though he had taken rounds of the residences of some ministers and senior police officers, he was not given any posting.
Sources said the 'senior' officer had refused to meet him whenever he had called on him. He had also taken the assistance of some other officers for a posting, but the senior officer had categorically told him that he would not be given any posting till he was in the department.
Since he was feeling insulted without a posting, he had proceeded on leave, the sources added. |
