They also demanded creation of new fair price shops in each village and hamlet in order to provide ration to the people at nearest places. PDP leaders also raised issue of supplying government ration to the charity and welfare institutes which has been stopped for the last couple of years. Shahab, Nasir and Muneer demanded that adequate quota of ration be stocked in far flung areas of their respective districts to avoid any crisis during the winters. They informed the Minister that Chenab valley is different from rest of the state and its major part is hilly terrain and its difficult for the authorities to provide ration on time to these far flung areas during peak winter season. PDP leaders also discussed the issue of fair price shops and highlighted the difficulties being faced by the city fair price shop ration dealers. They also demanded release of commission in favour of dealers up to date so that they can meet their needs. The delegation also demanded that the consumer courts be made functional in all the three districts of Chenab Valley. After giving a patient hearing to the leaders, Minister CAPD assured them that the demands projected will be fulfilled. Instructions for several demands were issued upon the authorities on the spot by the Minister. However the Minister also assured the delegation that he will visit most of the far-flung area personally to take stock of the situation. PDP leaders thanked minister for prompt action on demands.
