Early Times Report

Kishtwar, Nov 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has come under criticism by job aspirants for delaying release of selection lists.
As per the details available with "Early Times" the Board has conducted the written exam as well as interviews last year for various posts like Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Superintendent, Social worker, Supervisors, Works Inspector, Multi purpose Worker , Assistant Tourist Officers, GRS etc but board but fails to issue the selection list of the selected candidates.
The candidates with "Early Times" said that it is irony that ample posts at echelons of 10+2 qualification written exam was conducted on 22 February 2016 & had interviewed in the month of May 2016; amongst them VLWs selection put forth within month from the date of interview while rest of posts like GRS ,MPW in whose interview was also conducted with VLW candidates is pending in most of the District.
"It is very confusing that Some selection lists are published with in a period of one month from the date of Interview and some are not released even after 7/ 8 months without any justification" said job aspirants added that what is the justification to withhold the lists for all these months after the interviews.
They said that delay in releasing the lusts sounds fishy.
One aspirant Shehkar Sharma said that if Public Service Commission can release the Selection list within a period of just three to four days , why not JKSSB do it in 7 / 8 months.
Another candidate Azfar Hussain from Doda has stated that whenever they contacted the authorities of JKSSB personally or telephonically, they only give assurances that with in next few days selection lists will be published, but on the field such assurances are just to befool the aspirants.
"Govt should frames rules where in time bound manner selection lists would get released" Yawar Hassan said. He further stated that if Board authorities will work with honesty and dedication all the selection selection will get released with in a period of 15 days which will give relief to many job aspirants from unnecessary mental torture.
The aspirants have sought intervention of Chief Minister.
