Kathua, Nov 23: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Kathua unit today organised two days Block Sports tournament at Government Higher Secondary School, Bakhta.
According to press release, the motive to organises this type of completion is to involve and engage more and more youth in sports activities in order to develop Sports Culture in rural areas and given avenue and opportunities to rural sports talent for sports competitions.
In Long Jump: Arun kumar -Dhanni stand 1st , and Dilwar Singh HSS Forelane and Abhay Singh stand 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In 100 Mtr Race, Dilwar Singh, GHSS, Forelane stand 1st and Sunil Datt and Arun Kumar, Dhanni stands 2nd and 3rd.
In final mach of kabaddi, Gujjar Youth Association Rajbagh defeated the team of Khroote A by purely dominating the game by 45: 22 points and lifted the trophy.
The final match of volleyball was played between Harkirat Club and Korepunu. The team of Korepunue lifted the trophy by defeating Karkirat Club by 25:13, 25:20 and 25: 18 poings.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua was Chief Guest and he awarded Trophies and Mementoes to the winner teams and players. |
