Inspectors ignored, 2 SIs posted as SHOs in Samba | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: Undermining the seniority and experience of Inspectors, two sub inspectors have been posted as SHOs in Samba district while inspectors, who have first claim for the appointments continue to be confined to the District police lines. Sources said that despite availability of two Inspectors in the District Police Lines (DPL) Samba , two sub-Inspectors are heading two police stations, undermining their experience and seniority. "This is strange that inspectors are posted in DPL, while sub inspectors are commanding police stations. This shows that there is no accountability on part of senior officers, who are deputing officers arbitrarily," said sources, adding that this trend is giving rise to handling of important stations by blue eyed, while discouraging those who do not have political influence. "The politically connected cops manage to secure plum postings, while as those who are working with sincerity remain either attached or deputed at insignificants appointments," said sources adding that the one of the two stations is situated along the borders, while as another station is located on the highway, thus making them significant from security perspective. |
