| Cop allegedly involved in hit 'n' run, gets attached | | | Poonch, Nov 23: A constable driver, who hit a staffer Early Times, earlier this month with escort vehicle of local legislator, has been attached after the scribe lodged complaint in this regard.
According to reports, the cop namely Constable Sikandar Ahmad, then posted at Centre Police hit and injured M S Nazki Poonch based reporter (Early Times) with the escort vehicle bearing registration number JK02BA 4479 of NC MLA Mendhar Javaid Rana at Main Market Mendhar in Poonch on November 13 during evening hours. "After hitting the scribe, the erring escort driver escaped from the spot. However, scribe M S Nazki filed a complaint with SDPO Mendhar Shahid Nayeem who accordingly took the matter with SSP Security Jammu, Ramesh Angral. As per action initiated so far, the erring constable along with his vehicle has been attached to Security Wing.
