| NGEU flays Jammu University authorities | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 23: Non-Gazetted Employees Union University of Jammu (NGEU) today leveled allegations against authorities of Jammu University for allegedly betraying them.
Vijay Kumar President Non-Gazetted Employees Union University of Jammu (NGEU), while addressing a press conference said that following the assurance of Jammu university authorities that they would fulfill their genuine demands within one month they suspended their token strike. He further said that the authority has given us in written agreement that our genuine demands will he fulfilled in next month but only one demand has been fulfilled till date. Now about 04 months has gone but nothing has been done with these demands.
Vijay Kumar also spoke about the harassment by the Director, Physical Education to class 4th class employees. He says that we have given in writing about the harassment to Vice chancellor twice but nothing has been done. The director is harassing the class 4th employees because they were the part of the token strike in July also. Vijay Kumar said that the Director, Physical Education also threatened the president NGEU and the whole union that he will see you all personally and Union has Proof of the threat.
He also said that the Rector, Bhaderwah campus Prof. GM Bhat has completed his tenure but attached again to the campus. He also said that rector is harassing the class 4th employees particularly, his not assigning the work to their employees as per the designation and in the campus permanent staff is suffering and he has adjusted his known contractual staff and have given all the powers to the contractual staff rather than the permanent staff of the campus.
Banarsi Lal General Secretary NGEU requested and informed the higher authority of the university to fulfil their genuine demands and remove the Director of Physical Education and Rector, Bhaderwah campus for smooth functioning of the university immediately otherwise we will came again out of their departments. For any step the higher authority will be responsible.
Also NGEU visits bhaderwah campus and with the permission of General body and constitution of class 4th employees they elected Sandeep as a member of the Union.
Others who were present in the press conference included Suraj Prakash Vice President, Ashok Kumar, Vidya Lal, Raj Kumar, Raj Kumar Billoria and other members of the Union. |
