Lal Singh's rallies fine, but why no CBI probe?
Rassana case
6/28/2018 11:26:32 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, June 28: BJP leader Lal Singh, who lost his ministry for supporting the demand in Jammu for holding a CBI inquiry in what is being termed as "manufactured Rassana case", on Wednesday again took out a rally in parts of Jammu city. It was a candle light march organized to muster people's support to press the authorities to order a CBI probe into the whole episode so that the real culprits were booked, tried and brought to justice and the innocents saved from harassment, torture and victimization.
Lal Singh has been organizing rallies and meetings on the Kathua case ever since his ouster from the ministry. He has been saying again and again that the Kathua case was a conspiracy hatched by anti-India forces to demonise the Dogras of Jammu and create an impression across the nation, nay the world, that the Dogras are pro-rapist.
Kathua case was a deliberate onslaught on the Dogras of Jammu, he has been saying, and adding that his pro-Dogra activities would continue till the time CBI probe is not ordered.
However, everyone in Jammu is asking: Why are the concerned authorities not ordering a CBI probe now when the Mehbooba Mufti government has gone, the Governor rule is in place and the BJP is at the helm of affairs in New Delhi?
"Mehbooba Mufti, who opposed CBI probe into the alleged Kathua case is down and out. Governor NN Vohra is in full command. He represents the Centre in the state and the government of India is that of the BJP. Governor Vohra should appreciate the sentiments of the people of Jammu province in general and Kathua in particular and order a CBI probe into the case. Where are the local BJP leaders and why are not they supporting Lal Singh? The BJP cannot fool the people of Jammu anymore. If they want to win back the trust of the people, they have to come forward and force the authorities to concede the popular demand," the angry people say.
