Seniors docs busy in pvt practices, juniors refuse to perform duties | Deployed for Yatra duty, Doc applies for leave | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 28: After being deployed for rendering duties for Amarnath Ji Yatra, a junior doctor of the Government Medical College Jammu applied for earned leave but the request was cancelled by the Principal GMC Jammu. It is enough to prove that how junior doctors' names were recommended by seniors who indulge in private practices during vacations. A letter number GMC/Amarnath Yatra- 2018/611 dated 28/6/2018, states as Head of Radiotherapy GMC Jammu, are well aware that Dr Rajesh Singh Bahu, Medical Officer, is on duty roster for rendering duties for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2018 issued by the Director-General, Health Services Kashmir vide no DHSK/Yatra/2018/333-40 dated 19-6-2018 and has been relived by the Medical Superintendent GMC Jammu vide no MCH/2018/3907-12 dated 22-6-2018 to report to Dr Ashraf Block Medical Officer Matta on 23-6-2018. Instead of directing the doctor to report for duties of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, you (HOD Radiotherapy) have forwarded his earned leave form which is not acceptable and is cancelled as at present he is under control of Nodal Officer, Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2018. It further states you (HOD Radiotherapy) are hereby directed to direct the said doctor to report to the place immediately where he has been put on duty. Any adverse communication/ instruction, if conveyed by the higher authority shall lie with your office. Besides, ET has been carrying news regarding the violation of the Supreme Court of India's directions as well as government orders by the GMC Jammu by deploying junior doctors instead of seniors who reportedly indulge in private practices during summer vacations and pressurized concerned to recommended juniors name for the same. |
