APD's June 18 transfer order lacks genuineness, raises doubts | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 28: An order with regard to the transfer and posting of two senior officers of Agriculture Department issued by the Agriculture Production Department (APD), Civil Secretariat, Srinagar has come under cloud of suspicion for the odd timing of its issuance and the inordinate delay in delivering the order at the office of Directorate of Agriculture, Kashmir. The Government Order No 168-APD of 2018, Dated: 18-06-2018 had accorded sanction to the transfer and posting of Ab Rahim Samoon, Joint Director, Agriculture (Extension) Kashmir and Choudhary Mohammad Iqbal, ST, OSD, Technical, Administration Department respectively as Incharge Director Law, Enforcement against an available vacancy purely on temporary basis and Incharge Joint Director, Agriculture Extension Kashmir vice Ab Rahim Samoon. Sources informed Early Times that the order shows that it was issued on June 18 when the state's popular government was intact but instead of reaching the concerned office of the Directorate of Agriculture, Kashmir on the same day itself, it came yesterday (June 27) only and finally seen light of the day following which the two officers assigned new place of postings joined their respective duties. "However, it has to be seen that where the order was for the last ten days. Whether it was in the knowhow of the Governor's Advisor, who is Incharge of the Agriculture department, or it was mischievously framed after the fall of the state government on June 19 and issued later with a back date as all the government orders issued by the previous dispensation on June 19 were rescinded by the Governor's regime after taking over the charge of the government," said sources. "Something is surely fishy in the issuance of this order as it looks like that the order's date was fiddled with from June 19. Even if it was issued on June 18 then why it took ten days to reach the order at the Directorate of Agriculture Department, Kashmir at Lal Mandi area in Srinagar which is only half a kilometer away from the Civil Secretariat," sources added. Sources maintained that the genuineness of the order raises further doubts as it has not been uploaded on the official website of the department till date when in routine practice the orders issued are displayed on the portal on the same day by 4 pm or the next day in the morning. |
