| Lecturer, policemen allegedly beat, threaten student | | Victim approaches court seeks action against accused | |  Arun Jasrotia

Udhampur, June 28 : A student of Moungri Higher Secondary School has alleged that he was beaten by the lecturer and the police in the school premises.
Rash Paul Singh son of Naseeb Singh alleged that when he reached the school on Saturday (last week) the lecturer beat him and his friend Surjeet without any reason. "Later the lecturer called the Policemen. One SPO and Constable arrived in the school and beat us up mercilessly in the classroom. Later they took us to police chowki," the student said. He alleged that the said lecturer as well as Police threatened him of dire consequences if he disclosed this matter to anyone else.
After being thrashed and humiliated Singh approached district court Udhampur and filed a written complaint against the Lecturer as well the policemen seeking strict action against them .
His counsel senior advocate Pawan Jandail said that a complaint has been filed against the said lecturer as well as the Policemen. The Duty Magistrate has already recorded the statement of the victim. |
