Vomedh presents fourth fortnight terrace theatre series
7/9/2018 11:55:13 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, July 9: Continuing with its Fortnight Theatre series known as "Terrace Theatre", Vomedh Rangmanch showcased Kashmiri play "Koli Khota Kol Sarad", a social drama with a message to society that with changing times society has seen traumatic upheavals concerning the lives of their retired parents living with their siblings who have seen much freedom in exile living outside the domain of their age old traditions. The idea of adjusting with their elders seems to be absurd. They want their presence to be felt ignoring the parent who has struggled hard in exile to see his son through education and finally settled in marriage. The irony of the fate sees father-in-law and daughter-in-law at daggers drawn. As she is intolerant to his needs and labels him as interferer in the house.
Son is caught between the cross firing. Society at large has this inherent problem named nuclear family. Through the medium of theatrical presentation people have felt one with live performers and viewers are increasing day by day and have shown much interest in this medium of interaction.
"Koli Khota Kol Sarad" is written and directed by Captain Maharaj while the artists who played roles in this play include Jatinder Jotshi, Vinay Pandita, Pummy Zutshi, Daisy Bazaz and JK Baliji.
