Schools can't be used for political activities: CEO Poonch | | | MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, July 20: Educational institutions are meant for impart education and will not be allowed for holding political activities, Chief Education officer Poonch, Mushtaq Ahmed, said Friday. The CEO assured the locals of Mendhar who complained that political rallies in Government High School Pathanateer were held by National Conference MLA Javed Rana some days ago. The locals told the CEO that "our children are kept standing in queues for clapping and garlanding the political leaders." The CEO replied that no school is allowed to be used for any political activity nor participation of children who are kept in queues for clapping and garlanding the politicians. Meanwhile, the CEO has constituted a committed of officers including Zonal education Officer, Deputy CEO, principal of Government High School Chhattral to investigate how the NC MLA held rallies in the school and why were children asked to stand in queues for clapping and garlanding the MLA and his supporters. The CEO asked the officers to submit their report to his office within a day. He assured that an appropriate action will be taken against the administration of the said school. "Permission is needed from the government for holding such rallies in schools," the CEO added. |
