Jammu, July 20: Hemophilia society Jammu Chapter today donated life saving medicine approximately amounting Rs 80 lakhs for the Hemophilic patients of the region, to Worthy Director Health Service Jammu Dr Gurjeet Singh Soodan. The medicines were handed over by Suriya Jabeen, Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu. Hemophilia Society, Jammu highly thankful to the Director Health Services and Assistant Director Schemes for immediately creating four treatment centres on the request of the Hemophilia Society. at District Hospital Poonch, District Hospital Rajouri, Govt. Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and District Hospital Doda. The objective of the Hemophilia Society Jammu being that the patients should get the treatment at their door step and at the earliest so that no further damage is caused to them and protect the precious lives. The Medicines were provided by the World Federation for Hemophilia (Canada) through Hemophilia Federation India, New Delhi, on the persistence request of Hemophilia Society, Jammu. Among others dignitaries who were present on the occasion included Manjari Singh Head CIF (J&K), OP Gupta Chairman, Gram Vikas Sang (Regd) J&K, President Hemophilia Society, Rohit Jandial, Jagdish Sharma Founder/Secretary Hemophilia Society Jammu (Regd). |
